Editing Presentations



Presentation Editor



To open the Presentation Editor, right click on the desired presentation and select Edit Presentation..., Edit Item... or New Presentation.... You can also click the New button on the main toolbar and select New Presentation....



Enter a name for your presentation in the Title field.



On the left side of the window, there are three tabs - Words,  Slides and Masters. On the right side of the window is the Slide Editor.


    • Words Tab: This is the text editor where you can fill in the text for your slides. Depending on the Theme you use, you can fill in text for the Title, Subtitle and Content. The text can also be edited on the right in the Slide Editor.


    • Slides Tab: This view shows the slide thumbnails on the left. The text can be edited on the right side in the Slide Editor.


    • Masters Tab: This view shows your slide Themes. Here you can edit your different themes for your presentation.


Master

Any changes made to this theme will apply to all themes.

Title

Title and Subtitle text boxes.

Title &Content

Contains Title and Content text boxes.

Content Only

Contains a Content text box.

Blank

Contains no text boxes.

Scripture

Contains the scripture text box.


As mentioned previously in the Masters tab, an EasyWorship presentation has five different slide types to choose from, called Themes. When you start a new presentation, the first slide will default to a Title slide theme. In the Words tab, you can type in the title and subtitle you wish you to use.



Click the  add icon to add a new slide to the presentation. The default theme of the second slide will be a Title & Content theme. Enter the desired text in the Words tab. To change the Theme of the slide, use the Theme drop-down to select a new Theme.


You can add additional content to the slide using the Text button in the toolbar. A new text box will appear on the slide. To type text in a text box added to a slide, double click in the box in the Slide Editor on the right. Any text you type in the additional text box will not appear in the Words tab.


To add a new Scripture slide, click the add icon to add a slide to the presentation. Then, click the Theme drop-down box and select Scripture. Double-click the slide to open the scripture look-up. Choose the translation you want and search for the desired scripture. Double-click the desired scripture to add it to the new slide.


Edit a Presentation in the Schedule


    1. In the Schedule Area, select the presentation to be edited.
    2. Right-click the presentation.
    3. Click Edit Item....
    4. The Schedule Editor window appears.
    5. The Words tab or Slides tab can be used to enter or edit text as needed.
    6. Use the toolbar to change the font and edit its style, size, and alignment.
    7. Use the heading buttons to select a Theme, create a new Text box, add a Scripture or Media element, change the Background by dragging and dropping from the Media button to a slide in the Slides tab or Masters tab, or Arrange Elements.
    8. Use the Inspector to customize your presentation.


Edit a Presentation in the Database


    1. In the Resource Area, click the Presentations tab.
    2. Select the presentation you wish to edit.
    3. Right-click the presentation.
    4. Click Edit Presentation.... The Presentation Editor appears.
    5. The Words tab or Slides tab can be used to enter or edit text as needed.
    6. Use the toolbar to change the font and edit its style, size, and alignment.
    7. Use the heading buttons to select a Theme, create a new Text box, add a Scripture or Media element or Background, or Arrange Elements.
    8. Use the Inspector to customize your presentation.


Editor Toolbar



Title

Enter a name for the song, scripture, theme, or presentation in this field.

Theme

Use the drop-down to select a theme. (This option is grayed out in the Theme Editor.)

Text

Adds a text box to display on each slide.

Scripture

Click the scripture button to select scripture text and press enter or drag it to add it to the theme.

Media

Click the media button  to select videos, images, feeds, DVD clips, or audio and press enter or drag it to add it to the theme.

Arrange

Clicking this button allows you to set the layer at which the selected element resides. You have the option of Move Up, Move Down, Bring to Front, Send to Back.

Inspector

Opens the Inspector window. This allows you to make more detailed formatting changes to different elements.

Import

Allows you to import a text document into your song, presentation, or theme.

Print

Allows you to print the song, schedule, theme, or presentation.

Spell Check

Checks spelling and allows you to make spelling changes or add words to the dictionary. To add a language to the spell check dictionary, click the Spell Check button and select Spelling Options....



    1. The Spelling Options window will appear. Select the Language tab.


    1. Click Download Additional Dictionaries. The Additional Dictionaries page will load.
    2. Download the dictionary you wish to add to EasyWorship.
    3. Browse to the file you downloaded and extract it.
    4. In the Spelling Options window, click Locate Dictionaries....
    5. Browse to the folder you extracted, select it, and click OK. The new dictionary will now be available in the drop-down list under Language settings.

Undo / Redo


Click to undo previous functions. Click the drop-down arrow to redo functions that you clicked to undo.

Font Selector

Click the font selector to select the font formatting you wish to use on selected text.

Auto Sizing

Allows you to choose between setting an exact font size or automatically sizing the font.

Font Size

Changes the font size of the text to the point size selected.

Font Color

Allows you to change the color of selected text by selecting from the color palette provided.

Text Style Options

Bold, Italics, Underline, Shadow, Outline

Horizontal Alignment Options

Left Align, Center Align, Right Align

Vertical Alignment Options

Top Align, Middle Align, Bottom Align

Indent / Outdent

Increase or decrease the indent level of the paragraph.

Reset Styles

Resets formatting to default settings.
